Thanks to Australia Awards Scholarships, I’ve finished my master’s in public policy and management! My ability to think critically and analyse data has significantly improved because of this journey. I’m able to determine the underlying causes of issues and create workable, practical recommendations by critically analysing challenges. The knowledge and abilities I gained will be extremely helpful in my future work at the National Bank of Cambodia’s Financial Stability Department.
The best thing I did in Australia was forming lifetime friendships. I enjoyed being in the great outdoors, whether taking walks in the botanical gardens or in neighboring parks to unwind after studying. Melbourne turned into my actual second home. Along with my academic growth, I’ve developed a love for cooking.
I’ll really miss the vibrant spring and summer seasons in Australia, with their blooming flowers and beautiful landscapes. I’ll fondly remember my busy days in the library, especially in the law building at the University of Melbourne, and the year-round flowers on campus. The cultural events and the life of a student working on assignments will always have a special place in my heart.
I’m looking forward to returning to my workplace in Cambodia and reuniting with my family and friends. I can’t wait to share my educational journey with them, especially with women aspiring to pursue higher education abroad at prestigious universities like Melbourne.
